Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Gembind ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Gembind app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or an existing email/password account, we receive an account identifier and email address, and your name when supplied by your sign-in provider. We use this to create and secure your account.
• Card photos. Images you capture or select for scanning are sent to our servers and to Google's Gemini API to identify the card and estimate its condition. We ask your permission before sending photos. You can revoke this session's permission in Account > AI photo sharing. Our backend does not persist the photos, but Google may retain prompts and responses for abuse monitoring under its Gemini API policies. We use the paid Gemini API; under its applicable terms, Google does not use submitted photos or responses to improve its products or train its models. Avoid including sensitive personal information in card photos.
• Collection & usage data. Cards you save, binders you create, and a count of your scans (used to enforce fair-use limits) are stored in our database provider, Supabase.
• Technical data. We process basic request information such as your IP address to operate the service, apply rate limits, and prevent abuse.
• Subscription analytics. Superwall processes purchase history, user and device identifiers, paywall interactions, and approximate location derived from network information to operate and measure subscription offers. We do not use this information for tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the app — identify cards, estimate grades, and sync your collection.
• To enforce fair-use limits and protect the service from abuse.
• To manage subscriptions, measure paywall performance, and answer support requests.

Service providers

We share data only with providers who help us run the service, under their own terms: Google (Gemini API, for card identification), Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Superwall (subscription management), and card-pricing data providers. Apple and Google also process sign-in and subscription payments. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention & deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app (Home → Account → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes your profile, collection, binders, community posts, and scan history from our systems. Provider security, transaction and abuse-monitoring records may be retained under those providers' policies and applicable obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

Gembind is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
